Morning

As if with choice meat you satisfy my soul. My mouth joyfully praises you, whenever I remember you on my bed, and think about you during the nighttime hours. — Ps 63:5-6 NET

How difficult it is for me to fathom your thoughts about me, O God! How vast is their sum total! If I tried to count them, they would outnumber the grains of sand. Even if I finished counting them, I would still have to contend with you.—Your words are sweeter in my mouth than honey!—Your lovemaking is more delightful than wine.

Whom do I have in heaven but you? I desire no one but you on earth.—You are the most handsome of all men! You speak in an impressive and fitting manner! For this reason God grants you continual blessings.

Like an apple tree among the trees of the forest, so is my beloved among the young men. I delight to sit in his shade, and his fruit is sweet to my taste. He brought me into the banquet hall, and he looked at me lovingly.—His appearance is like Lebanon, choice as its cedars. His mouth is very sweet; he is totally desirable. This is my beloved! This is my companion.

Evening

Let me again experience the joy of your deliverance! — Ps 51:12 NET

I have seen their behavior, but I will heal them and give them rest, and I will once again console those who mourn.

“Come, let’s consider your options,” says the Lord. “Though your sins have stained you like the color red, you can become white like snow; though they are as easy to see as the color scarlet, you can become white like wool.”—“Come back to me, you wayward people. I want to cure your waywardness.” Say, “Here we are. We come to you because you are the Lord our God.”—I will listen to what God the Lord says. For he will make peace with his people, his faithful followers. Yet they must not return to their foolish ways.

Praise the Lord, O my soul! Do not forget all his kind deeds! He is the one who forgives all your sins, who heals all your diseases,—He restores my strength.—“I praise you, O Lord, for even though you were angry with me, your anger subsided, and you consoled me.”

Support me, so that I will be delivered.

“I, I am the one who blots out your rebellious deeds for my sake; your sins I do not remember.”
