Morning

The fruit of the Spirit is … faithfulness. — Gal 5:22 NET

For by grace you are saved through faith, and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God.—Without faith it is impossible to please him.—“The one who believes in him is not condemned. The one who does not believe has been condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the one and only Son of God.”—“I believe; help my unbelief!”

Whoever obeys his word, truly in this person the love of God has been perfected. By this we know that we are in him.—Faith working through love.—Faith without works is useless?—For we live by faith, not by sight.—I have been crucified with Christ, and it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me. So the life I now live in the body, I live because of the faithfulness of the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me.—You have not seen him, but you love him. You do not see him now but you believe in him, and so you rejoice with an indescribable and glorious joy, because you are attaining the goal of your faith – the salvation of your souls.

Evening

The Lord is full of compassion and mercy. — Jas 5:11 NET

As a father has compassion on his children, so the Lord has compassion on his faithful followers.—The Lord is merciful and compassionate…. he always remembers his covenant.

May he not allow your foot to slip! May your protector not sleep! Look! Israel’s protector does not sleep or slumber!—Like an eagle that stirs up its nest, that hovers over its young, so the Lord spread out his wings and took him, he lifted him up on his pinions. The Lord alone was guiding him, no foreign god was with him.

The Lord’s loyal kindness never ceases; his compassions never end. They are fresh every morning; your faithfulness is abundant!—As [Jesus] got out he saw the large crowd, and he had compassion on them and healed their sick.—Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever!

“Even all the hairs on your head are numbered…. Aren’t two sparrows sold for a penny? Yet not one of them falls to the ground apart from your Father’s will…. So do not be afraid.”
