He has prepared a city for them. — Heb 11:16 NET
“And if I go and make ready a place for you, I will come again and take you to be with me, so that where I am you may be too.”—An inheritance imperishable, undefiled, and unfading. It is reserved in heaven for you.—Here we have no lasting city, but we seek the city that is to come.
“This same Jesus who has been taken up from you into heaven will come back in the same way you saw him go into heaven.”—So be patient, brothers and sisters, until the Lord’s return. Think of how the farmer waits for the precious fruit of the ground and is patient for it until it receives the early and late rains. You also be patient and strengthen your hearts, for the Lord’s return is near.—“For just a little longer and he who is coming will arrive and not delay.”
We who are alive, who are left, will be suddenly caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And so we will always be with the Lord. Therefore encourage one another with these words.

God chose what is low and despised in the world. — 1 Cor 1:28 NET
Do not be deceived! The sexually immoral, idolaters, adulterers, passive homosexual partners, practicing homosexuals, thieves, the greedy, drunkards, the verbally abusive, and swindlers will not inherit the kingdom of God. Some of you once lived this way. But you were washed, you were sanctified, you were justified in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and by the Spirit of our God.
And although you were dead in your transgressions and sins, in which you formerly lived according to this world’s present path,… among whom all of us also formerly lived out our lives in the cravings of our flesh, indulging the desires of the flesh and the mind.
He saved us … on the basis of his mercy, through the washing of the new birth and the renewing of the Holy Spirit, whom he poured out on us in full measure through Jesus Christ our Savior.
“Indeed, my plans are not like your plans, and my deeds are not like your deeds.”
