Now may the God of peace… equip you with every good thing to do his will. — Heb 13:20-21 NET

Finally, brothers and sisters, rejoice, set things right, be encouraged, agree with one another, live in peace, and the God of love and peace will be with you.

By grace you are saved through faith, and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God; it is not from works, so that no one can boast.—All generous giving and every perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of lights, with whom there is no variation or the slightest hint of change.

Continue working out your salvation with awe and reverence, for the one bringing forth in you both the desire and the effort – for the sake of his good pleasure – is God.—Be transformed by the renewing of your mind, so that you may test and approve what is the will of God – what is good and well-pleasing and perfect.—Filled with the fruit of righteousness that comes through Jesus Christ to the glory and praise of God.

Not that we are adequate in ourselves to consider anything as if it were coming from ourselves, but our adequacy is from God.

“I will allure her; I will lead her back into the wilderness, and speak tenderly to her.” — Hos 2:14 NET

Therefore “come out from their midst, and be separate,” says the Lord, “and touch no unclean thing, and I will welcome you, and I will be a father to you, and you will be my sons and daughters,” says the All-Powerful Lord.—Since we have these promises, dear friends, let us cleanse ourselves from everything that could defile the body and the spirit, and thus accomplish holiness out of reverence for God.—Jesus also suffered outside the camp. We must go out to him, then, outside the camp, bearing the abuse he experienced.

[Jesus] said to them, “Come with me privately to an isolated place and rest a while.”—The Lord is my shepherd, I lack nothing. He takes me to lush pastures, he leads me to refreshing water. He restores my strength. He leads me down the right paths for the sake of his reputation.
