Morning

Praise awaits you, O God, in Zion. — Ps 65:1 NET

For us there is one God, the Father, from whom are all things and for whom we live, and one Lord, Jesus Christ, through whom are all things and through whom we live.—“All people will honor the Son just as they honor the Father. The one who does not honor the Son does not honor the Father who sent him.”—Through him then let us continually offer up a sacrifice of praise to God, that is, the fruit of our lips, acknowledging his name.—Whoever presents a thank-offering honors me. To whoever obeys my commands, I will reveal my power to deliver.

After these things I looked, and here was an enormous crowd that no one could count, made up of persons from every nation, tribe, people, and language, standing before the throne and before the Lamb dressed in long white robes, and with palm branches in their hands. They were shouting out in a loud voice, “Salvation belongs to our God, to the one seated on the throne, and to the Lamb! Amen! Praise and glory, and wisdom and thanksgiving, and honor and power and strength be to our God for ever and ever. Amen!”

Evening

Who delivers your life from the Pit. — Ps 103:4 NET

“But the one who will rescue them is strong. He is known as the Lord who rules over all.”—Will I deliver them from the power of Sheol? No, I will not! Will I redeem them from death? No, I will not! O Death, bring on your plagues! O Sheol, bring on your destruction! My eyes will not show any compassion!

Therefore, since the children share in flesh and blood, he likewise shared in their humanity, so that through death he could destroy the one who holds the power of death (that is, the devil), and set free those who were held in slavery all their lives by their fear of death.

The one who believes in the Son has eternal life. The one who rejects the Son will not see life, but God’s wrath remains on him.

You have died and your life is hidden with Christ in God. When Christ (who is your life) appears, then you too will be revealed in glory with him.—When he comes to be glorified among his saints and admired on that day among all who have believed.
