“I know that my Redeemer lives.” — Job 19:25 NET

For if while we were enemies we were reconciled to God through the death of his Son, how much more, since we have been reconciled, will we be saved by his life?—He holds his priesthood permanently since he lives forever. So he is able to save completely those who come to God through him, because he always lives to intercede for them.

“Because I live, you will live too.”—For if only in this life we have hope in Christ, we should be pitied more than anyone. But now Christ has been raised from the dead, the firstfruits of those who have fallen asleep.

“A protector comes to Zion, to those in Jacob who repent of their rebellious deeds,” says the Lord.—In him we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of our trespasses, according to the riches of his grace.—You know that from your empty way of life inherited from your ancestors you were ransomed – not by perishable things like silver or gold, but by precious blood like that of an unblemished and spotless lamb, namely Christ.

Now the Spirit explicitly says that in the later times some will desert the faith and occupy themselves with deceiving spirits. — 1 Tim 4:1 NET

“So listen carefully.”—Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly, teaching and exhorting one another with all wisdom.—In all of this, by taking up the shield of faith with which you can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one.

Those who love your law are completely secure; nothing causes them to stumble.—Your words are sweeter in my mouth than honey! Your precepts give me discernment. Therefore I hate all deceitful actions.

Your word is a lamp to walk by, and a light to illumine my path…. I have more insight than all my teachers, for I meditate on your rules.

Even Satan disguises himself as an angel of light.—But even if we (or an angel from heaven) should preach a gospel contrary to the one we preached to you, let him be condemned to hell!
