Morning

“You are to put the two stones on the shoulders of the ephod, stones of memorial for the sons of Israel, and Aaron will bear their names before the Lord.” — Exod 28:12 NET

[Jesus] holds his priesthood permanently since he lives forever. So he is able to save completely those who come to God through him, because he always lives to intercede for them.—The one who is able to keep you from falling, and to cause you to stand, rejoicing, without blemish before his glorious presence.

Therefore since we have a great high priest who has passed through the heavens, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold fast to our confession. For we do not have a high priest incapable of sympathizing with our weaknesses, but one who has been tempted in every way just as we are, yet without sin. Therefore let us confidently approach the throne of grace.

“The beloved of the Lord will live safely by him; he protects him all the time, and the Lord places him on his chest.”

Heb 7:24-25, Jude 1:24, Heb 4:14-16, Deut 33:12

Evening

“Throughout that night the king was unable to sleep.” — Esth 6:1 NET

You held my eyelids open.—Who can compare to the Lord our God, … He bends down to look at the sky and the earth.

He does as he wishes with the army of heaven and with those who inhabit the earth.—You walked through the sea; you passed through the surging waters, but left no footprints.—Certainly your angry judgment upon men will bring you praise; you reveal your anger in full measure.

“Certainly the Lord watches the whole earth carefully and is ready to strengthen those who are devoted to him.”—And we know that all things work together for good for those who love God.

“Aren’t two sparrows sold for a penny? Yet not one of them falls to the ground apart from your Father’s will. Even all the hairs on your head are numbered.”
