He will not break a bruised reed. — Matt 12:20 NET
The sacrifices God desires are a humble spirit – O God, a humble and repentant heart you will not reject.—He heals the brokenhearted, and bandages their wounds.—This is what the high and exalted one says, the one who rules forever, whose name is holy: “I dwell in an exalted and holy place, but also with the discouraged and humiliated, in order to cheer up the humiliated and to encourage the discouraged. For I will not be hostile forever or perpetually angry, for then man’s spirit would grow faint before me, the life-giving breath I created.”
“I will seek the lost and bring back the strays; I will bandage the injured and strengthen the sick.”—Therefore, strengthen your listless hands and your weak knees, and make straight paths for your feet, so that what is lame may not be put out of joint but be healed.—“Look, your God… he comes to deliver you.”

Taste and see that the Lord is good! How blessed is the one who takes shelter in him! — Ps 34:8 NET
When the head steward tasted the water that had been turned to wine, not knowing where it came from,… he called the bridegroom and said to him, “Everyone serves the good wine first, and then the cheaper wine when the guests are drunk. You have kept the good wine until now!”
“For the ear assesses words as the mouth tastes food.”—“I believed; therefore I spoke.”—I know the one in whom my faith is set.—I delight to sit in his shade, and his fruit is sweet to my taste.
God’s kindness.—He who did not spare his own Son, but gave him up for us all – how will he not also, along with him, freely give us all things?
Like newborn infants for pure, spiritual milk, so that by it you may grow up to salvation, if you have experienced the Lord’s kindness.
May all who take shelter in you be happy! May they continually shout for joy!
