The Prophets Examples to the Afflicted

Take, my brethren, the prophets, who have spoken in the name of the Lord, for an example of suffering affliction, and of patience. — Jas 5:10

And shall not we aspire,
Like them our course to run?
The crown if we would wear,
The cross must first be borne.
Divinely taught, they show’d the way,
First to believe, and then obey.
