Daily StreamsStreams in the Desert is a 366 day devotional compiled by Mrs. Charles E. Cowman, the wife of Rev. Charles Cowman, founder of the Oriental Missionary Society. They were missionaries in Japan from 1901 to 1918. The devotional grew out of the hardships she faced and the title is taken from Isaiah 35:6, “Then shall the lame man leap as an hart, and the tongue of the dumb sing: for in the wilderness shall waters break out, and streams in the desert.”
