Morning

Do not remain far away from me, for trouble is near. — Ps 22:11 NET

How long, Lord, will you continue to ignore me? How long will you pay no attention to me? How long must I worry, and suffer in broad daylight?—Do not reject me! Do not push your servant away in anger! You are my deliverer! Do not forsake or abandon me, O God who vindicates me!

When he calls out to me, I will answer him. I will be with him when he is in trouble; I will rescue him and bring him honor.—The Lord is near all who cry out to him, all who cry out to him sincerely. He satisfies the desire of his loyal followers; he hears their cry for help and delivers them.

“I will not abandon you as orphans, I will come to you.”—“Remember, I am with you always, to the end of the age.”

God is our strong refuge; he is truly our helper in times of trouble.—For God alone I patiently wait; he is the one who delivers me. Patiently wait for God alone, my soul! For he is the one who gives me confidence.

Evening

May your name be honored. — Matt 6:9 NET

“You must not worship any other god, for the Lord, whose name is Jealous, is a jealous God.”

“Who is like you, O Lord, among the gods? Who is like you? – majestic in holiness, fearful in praises, working wonders?”—“Holy Holy Holy is the Lord God, the All-Powerful, Who was and who is, and who is still to come!”

Ascribe to the Lord the splendor he deserves!—I saw the sovereign master seated on a high, elevated throne. The hem of his robe filled the temple. Seraphs stood over him;… They called out to one another, “Holy, holy, holy is the Lord who commands armies! His majestic splendor fills the entire earth!”… I said, “Too bad for me! I am destroyed.”—“I had heard of you by the hearing of the ear, but now my eye has seen you. Therefore I despise myself.”

The blood of Jesus his Son cleanses us from all sin.—That we may share his holiness.—Therefore, brothers and sisters, since we have confidence to enter the sanctuary by the blood of Jesus,… let us draw near with a sincere heart.
