Of the Divine Counsel and Instruction

I will bless the Lord, who hath given me counsel: my reins also instruct me in the night seasons. — Ps 16:7

Sure the Lord thus far has brought me,
By his watchful tender care;
Sure, ’tis he himself has taught me
How to seek his face by prayer:
After so much mercy past,
Will he give me up at last?
