Morning

“They will belong to me,” says the Lord who rules over all, “in the day when I prepare my own special property.” — Mal 3:17 NET

“I have revealed your name to the men you gave me out of the world. They belonged to you, and you gave them to me, and they have obeyed your word…. I am praying on behalf of them. I am not praying on behalf of the world, but on behalf of those you have given me, because they belong to you. Everything I have belongs to you, and everything you have belongs to me, and I have been glorified by them…. Father, I want those you have given me to be with me where I am, so that they can see my glory that you gave me because you loved me before the creation of the world.”

“I will come again and take you to be with me.”—When he comes to be glorified among his saints and admired on that day among all who have believed.—Then we who are alive, who are left, will be suddenly caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And so we will always be with the Lord.—You will be a majestic crown in the hand of the Lord, a royal turban in the hand of your God.

Evening

“Show me your glory.” — Exod 33:18 NET

For God, who said “Let light shine out of darkness,” is the one who shined in our hearts to give us the light of the glorious knowledge of God in the face of Christ.—Now the Word became flesh and took up residence among us. We saw his glory – the glory of the one and only, full of grace and truth .. No one has ever seen God. The only one, himself God, who is in closest fellowship with the Father, has made God known.

I thirst for God, for the living God. I say, “When will I be able to go and appear in God’s presence?”—My heart tells me to pray to you, and I do pray to you, O Lord.

And we all, with unveiled faces reflecting the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same image from one degree of glory to another, which is from the Lord, who is the Spirit.—“Father, I want those you have given me to be with me where I am, so that they can see my glory that you gave me because you loved me before the creation of the world.”
