Let them give thanks to the Lord for his loyal love, and for the amazing things he has done for people! — Ps 107:8 NET
Taste and see that the Lord is good! How blessed is the one who takes shelter in him!—How great is your favor, which you store up for your loyal followers!
“The people whom I formed for myself, so they might praise me.”—He did this by predestining us to adoption as his sons through Jesus Christ, according to the pleasure of his will – to the praise of the glory of his grace that he has freely bestowed on us in his dearly loved Son…. so that we, who were the first to set our hope on Christ, would be to the praise of his glory.
How precious and fair! Grain will make the young men flourish and new wine the young women.—The Lord is good to all, and has compassion on all he has made. All he has made will give thanks to the Lord. Your loyal followers will praise you. They will proclaim the splendor of your kingdom; they will tell about your power, so that mankind might acknowledge your mighty acts, and the majestic splendor of your kingdom.

Think of how we regard as blessed those who have endured. — Jas 5:11 NET
We also rejoice in sufferings, knowing that suffering produces endurance, and endurance, character, and character, hope. And hope does not disappoint, because the love of God has been poured out in our hearts through the Holy Spirit who was given to us.—Now all discipline seems painful at the time, not joyful. But later it produces the fruit of peace and righteousness for those trained by it.—My brothers and sisters, consider it nothing but joy when you fall into all sorts of trials, because you know that the testing of your faith produces endurance. And let endurance have its perfect effect, so that you will be perfect and complete, not deficient in anything…. Happy is the one who endures testing, because when he has proven to be genuine, he will receive the crown of life that God promised to those who love him.—So then, I will boast most gladly about my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ may reside in me…. For whenever I am weak, then I am strong.
